我的这两个帖子标题应改为“词汇笔记”，因为很个人化、注重个人的趣味。

翻看梁先生的词典，先找F-单词。feud,他造了一个组合，deadly feud,然后译成“不共戴天之仇”。这有点文人的趣味了。
　　俺不是什么文人，但俺喜欢这个调调啊。
　　词典的缺憾在于，没有英文的释义，直接就是英对汉。我看一个词，首先还是想看其英文释义，如果还拿不准，再看中文意思。
　　这个帖子冷清极了。笔记本也出了毛病，一段还没写完，word 文档就死机。这是不让俺写的节奏，好吧，不写了，不写了。
　　就这样吧。

窗外，雪花片片飞舞。
　　我在读一本书。这段文字是介绍Bronte姐妹的居住背景：
　　Haworth is a small, isolated town on the Yorkshire moors, in England’s industrial North. The region is a barren one, rich in minerals but poor in arable soil; rocky; hilly; peacefully beautiful in spring and summer when the weather is right; dark, cold, and wet in winter; wild and terrible when a sudden storm blows up from the west and lashes the low unprotected land with tearing winds and driving rain. In the mid-nineteenth century the population was rural and scattered; large towns were few, and mile after mile of the moorland lay exposed under the sky as it had for thousands of years.

　　She undergoes a radical change. She is an impetuous, na?ve girl; Heathcliff’s brutality transforms her into a spiteful, vindictive woman.

　　He is a grumbling old man whose one pleasure in life is to make things as unpleasant as possible for others. He is a type of religious hypocrite.

　　He has been corrupted by Heathcliff’s malice, but the capacity for love in his nature eventually saves him.

　　She undergoes the most dramatic personality changes of all the characters in the novel, but remains consistent throughout.

　　This is a physically and spiritually weak boy whose sickliness makes him selfish and peevish.

　　She is the housekeeper who tells the story to Lockwood. She is a healthy, bustling, intelligent, and thoroughly practical woman.

　　He pretends to be a misanthrope in search of solitude, but his words reveal him as a warm, mild, and good-humored young man. He is a character in his own right as well as a narrator, and represents the views and attitudes of normal society.
