一  设计思路
本段对话的情景是老师和同学们在谈论节日里人们所做的事，出现了本单元的重点句型when’s…?it’s in…what do people usually do on…?they…did you…last…?yes,i did.no,i didn’t.讨论有关活动是学生很感兴趣的一个话题，在课前布置学生查找有关东西方传统节日的相关资料，如图片、实物、相关传说等，使学生在学习对话之前就能产生一种希望交流的愿望。课堂上，为学生创设一个较为真实的情景，让他们在情景中学习对话。
二  教学目标
   1、知识目标
（1）能正确地听、说、读、写词汇new year’s day、christmas、people、had、went、what do people usually do on…?did you…? yes,idid.no,ididn’t. when’s…? it’s…
(2)能正确地听、说、读词汇spring festival 、relative、delicious、didn’t、dress up./ christmas is coming.
(3)能正确理解，掌握前半部分的内容，并能朗读，初步表演对话。
（4）能运用本课所学语言谈论自己最喜欢的节日。
2、技能目标
能根据阅读的目的，运用适当的策略，理解课文大意。
  3、情感目标
乐于模仿，敢于开口，积极参与，主动请教。
三  教学重点
1、掌握四会单词、句型。
2、能正确理解，掌握对话内容，并能朗读、初步表演对话。
四  教学难点
能够运用所学句型正确地询问人们在节日里所做的事，运用自己语言谈论自己最喜欢的节日。
五  教学准备
  1、教具准备：单词、句型卡片，图片。
  2、学生准备：查找与所学节日的信息。
  3、板书准备：预先写好课题unit 6 holidays.

step2: presentation and practice
1  要求学生复习有关节日的单词，此环节通过检查学生的复习情况呈现课文中的新单词，为学习新课作铺垫。
t: do you know any names of holidays?
s: new year’s day 、spring festival…(巩固已学节日名称)
t:my favourite holiday is chrismas .(教授单词favourite，板书，并请学生读该单词，注意纠正发音。)
t: what’s your favourite holiday?引导学生用my favourite holiday is …来回答（将问句与答句写在黑板上。）
t: you know my favourite holiday is christmas .
do you want to know more about christmas? now you can ask me some questions .(让学生用已学的句型来提问，加强对句型的巩固。)

七  教学反思
1、本课围绕“谈论节日里所做的事”这一话题展开教学活动，涉及中西方的节日风俗，学生对这一话题很感兴趣，每个学生都能积极参与到课堂中。
2、本课采用了循序渐进的学习方法引导学生学习词汇，在每个环节中给学生一个新知识点，从此分化难点，让学生学得不吃力。
3、在教学过程中，主要采取分层教学的做法：在呈现课文内容之前，通过师生交流，复习有关节日的知识，并教学、操练了本课的日常交际用语。结合学生兴趣，开展游戏竞猜活动，培养学生的综合运用语言能力，在游戏中愉快学习。
