cloth 和 clothes 大不同
很多人从字面上以为
cloth 是 clothes 的单数形式，都表示 “衣服”
错了！?
cloth → 布料 （不可数）
a piece of silk cloth 一块丝绸布料
clothes → 衣服 （永远是复数形式）
clothing → 衣服的统称 （不可数名词）
She began cleaning the wound with a piece of cloth.
她开始用一块布清洗伤口。
She walked upstairs to change her clothes。
她走上楼去换衣服。

单复数意思完全不同的单词
air → 空气
airs → 风度；架子；气质
He always puts on airs and talks down to others.
