16岁的Yves Pires被十七世纪荷兰绘画大师杨·维梅尔(Jan Vermeer)的《GirlwithaPearlEarring》打动，开始了各种介质的临摹，绘画、雕刻、丝网印刷他都乐此不疲。而19岁的他却决定自己的归宿是雕塑，Yves Pires便离开了就读的艺术学校。
